Lucy began her long nursing career as an LPN, graduating valedictorian from a rural Tennessee school with a reputation for high standards and sought-after graduates. She obtained her BSN, summa cum laude, in 2000. While working in many different cities and environments, she discovered she most enjoyed the toughest cases, whether in drug rehabilitation or the ICU. She serves as peer reviewer for the American Journal of Nursing and as a member of the International Academy of Nursing Editors. Lucy is the author of more than 900 medical articles and the book, 101 Ways to Score Higher on Your NCLEX, just one of many ways she has served to inspire the next generation of nurses.
