Nursing and Allied Health
Amy's eighteen years of nursing experience began in the Special Care Nursery and Newborn Intensive Care Unit after graduating from Christopher Newport University with a BSN. Later, her career shifted from bedside nursing to nurse educator after accepting a full-time teaching position at ECPI University, where she taught the next generation of practical and registered nurses.
Upon graduating from Old Dominion University with a Masters in Nursing Education, Amy became the Assistant Director of Nursing for the Registered Nursing Program at ECPI University. She has since taken the position of Clinical Practice and Education Specialist (CPES) at Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters.
In addition to teaching, Amy has extensive experience in educational publishing. After developing an online remediation program for undergraduate RN students with Pearson Education, she discovered her passion for curriculum development. Amy has developed curriculum for multiple levels of nursing (PN, RN, RN to BSN, MSN, and DNP) in addition to curriculum for other allied health professions.
Amy has worked for several major publishers on a host of nursing programs and projects over the years. Her expertise in nursing, eye for detail, and exceptional writing and managerial skills are the reasons why our clients love working with Amy.
